125th Gives Cause to Celebrate
The School of Pharmacy's 125th anniversary celebration in 2008 will offer something for everyone. Whether you are faculty, staff, student or alumni, special attention has been given to planning events that provide an opportunity for you to honor the rich history of the School, recognize the milestones along the way and embrace the wonderment that is yet to come.
We encourage you to join us in the quasquicentennial -- or 125th -- events throughout 2008. A few notable highlights include:

In addition to major events, faculty, staff and students will take the celebration "on the road" with specially designed printed materials, banners, PowerPoint presentations and a DVD commemorating the School's history.
On the fun side, we will have commemorative items, clothing and ice cream. Small commemorative items will appear from time to time, and 125th anniversary clothing and other items will be available for sale throughout the year with proceeds going to the Pharmacy Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
The School will have a Babcock ice cream flavor created for the year. We extend thanks to all who submitted name and flavor ideas. The winning combination proved to be Chocolate ApotheCherry: chocolate ice cream with a hint of Amaretto flavoring, mixed with chocolate chunks and cherry pieces. The ice cream will be served at many of our 2008 events and be Babcock Hall's featured flavor for two months.
Mark your calendar and join us in celebrating 125 years of excellence in research, teaching, service, outreach and practice.
