Important Information for Potential Applicants
for Fall 2011 and After

To better serve our PharmD applicants, the University of Wisconsin-Madison has decided to participate in the PharmCAS (Pharmacy College Application Service) beginning with the Fall 2011 admission cycle. This decision was made in an effort to simplify the admission process for applicants--especially applicants applying to multiple pharmacy schools.

  1. Beginning with the Fall 2011 PharmD admission cycle, the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy will be using the PharmCAS application service (in addition to our supplemental application).
  2. The current admission process will be significantly altered because of our transition to PharmCAS for the Fall 2011 admission cycle.
  3. Effective with the Fall 2011 admission cycle, all application materials previously sent to our admission office (including transcripts, letters of recommendation, PCAT scores, etc.) will not be acceptable for admission for Fall 2011 and after. These items will need to be requested again and sent to PharmCAS.
  4. Additional information will be posted on our website during the spring of 2010 to inform applicants of the new application procedures for Fall 2011 admission.
  5. The application deadline (for both PharmCAS and supplemental application) for Fall 2011 admission will be November 1, 2010. Both applications will become available during the summer of 2010.
