PhB: Pharmaziehistorische Bibliographie Three years of this pharmaco-historical abstracting service are available online. Although the interface is in German (as are the majority of items listed), the bibliography can be search by key word quickly. Probably the best starting place for any online work on the history of pharmacy. Historical Center for the Health Sciences This ambitiously titled project is centered at the University of Michigan and presently contains information primarily on Michigan subjects. The site does have some nice illustrations of artifacts. National Library of Medicine, History Division The National Library of Medicine (NLM) possesses one of the great collections of materials related to the history of pharmacy. Links can be found here for sources of illustrations plus NLM's excellent databases. History of Pharmacy Museum at the University of Arizona This on-line walk around the museum features the UA's excellent collection of show globes. WPA Life Histories By searching under pharmacy-related rubrics (such as drugstore or pharmacist), one can get texts of interviews from the 1930s with pharmacy workers of various sorts. The search engine of this database works well. World-Wide Web Virtual Library: Pharmacy A (pharmacy) stop of last resort if all else fails. This large and well-maintained site contains scores of links, almost none of them dealing with historical topics in pharmacy. A History of Pharmacy in Pictures (Parke-Davis). The complete set of Robert Thom illustrations are available at this website from the University of Washington. International Society for the History of Pharmacy. A good source of links. Australian Pharmaceutical Society's history page. Home of the "Scandalously Short Introduction to the History of Pharmacy." PerBo's History of Pharmacy Page.
