The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy Alumni
Association was incorporated as a non-profit organization on September
24, 1954 by former Dean Art Uhl and Pharmacist Dale Wurster. There are
many accounts of alumni activities before this time but never before
this time were the activities formalized as an association. Since 1973,
the Pharmacy Alumni Association mission has been the following:
Mission Statement: "The mission of the Pharmacy Alumni
Association (P.A.A.) is to foster an exemplary relationship between
the U.W. School of Pharmacy and its graduates. This relationship will
benefit the School through recruitment of students, service by alumni
as lecturers and preceptors, scholarship support and fund raising."
One of the first "University of Wisconsin School
of Pharmacy Alumni Association," newsletters now known as the Pharmacy
Graduate dates back to August 27, 1954.
