The School of Pharmacy offers programs of education at the undergraduate, professional, and graduate levels, as well as continuing education courses for professionals.

*Please note: Graduate degree recipients do not become licensed pharmacists.

  • Pharmacy (M.S. - terminal degree)
    • Training administrators for the hospital pharmacy setting. Applicants must hold the Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy degree and be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Wisconsin. This program is combined with the Administrative Residency at UW Hospitals and Clinics.

    Pharmaceutical Sciences (Ph.D.)
    • Providing interdisciplinary education and preparation for research in the fields of Drug Discovery, Drug Action, and Drug Delivery.
  • Social and Administrative Sciences in Pharmacy (M.S., Ph.D.)
    • Preparing students for research in drug use, patient and provider communication and behaviors, health outcomes, pharmacy practice, and more.

Certificate Programs

Global Health Certificate
Focuses on global health topics that transcend national boundaries, emphasizing health and disease in developing countries.



Residency Programs

Community Pharmacy Residency Program
Offering practice experiences and opportunities for teaching and research for PharmD graduates.



Professional Development

Extension Services in Pharmacy
Providing continuing education for pharmacists and employees of the Pharmaceutical Industry, including custom curriculum development.
