- A total of 206 credits is required for completion of the PharmD degree. This consists of 62 pre-School of Pharmacy credits and 134 School of Pharmacy credits. Of these latter 134 credits, 66 are completed during the first and second years of the PharmD program. This leaves 78 credits for completion while a student is enrolled in the dual degree program. Among them is the series of advanced pharmacy practice clerkships that are completed in the fourth year of the PharmD program.
- A total of 42 credits is required for completing the MPH degree.
- A total of 12 credits may overlap between programs (i.e., count toward completion of both degrees). Because students may apply for admission to the MPH program at several different points while enrolled in the PharmD program, the program of study will be individualized to address the situation of a particular dual degree student.
- Please see below for sample programs of study for a student entering the dual degree program at the beginning of his/her 3rd year in the PharmD program and at the beginning of the 4th year of the PharmD program, respectively.
