Melvin H. Weinswig, Ph.D., R.Ph., (Professor and Dean of the School of Pharmacy) received his B.S. (1955) and M.S. (1957) degrees from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and his Ph.D. (1961) degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Illinois. He served on the faculty of the College of Pharmacy at Butler University before coming to Wisconsin in 1969. He has received awards for teaching and service while serving on the faculty of both institutions, and has authored research articles on synthetic and analytical procedures of drugs, continuing pharmaceutical education, and drug abuse education.
