May Xiong, Pharmaceutical Sciences Ph.D. candidate, received notice of funding for the prestigious Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) for Individual Postdoctoral Fellows from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The NIH awards individual postdoctoral research training fellowships to promising applicants who show the potential to become productive, independent scientists. May, who studied at UW-Madison under Professor Glen Kwon, will pursue postdoctoral studies in the areas of drug delivery and biomaterials at the California Institute of Technology, under the mentorship of Professor Mark E. Davis in the Chemical Engineering Department.
