Professors Ben Shen, Jon Thorson, Richard Hsung and C. Richard Hutchinson, Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, are a key part of a project entitled “Wisconsin Infectious Disease Drug Discovery” funded through the Medical Education and Research Committee (MERC), which is responsible for distribution and stewardship of The Wisconsin Partnership funds. The Wisconsin Partnership Fund for a Healthy Future represents a far-reaching commitment by UW School of Medicine and Public Health to greatly improve the health of people in Wisconsin for years to come through funds resulting from Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin’s conversion to a for-profit corporation some years ago.
