Group Accomplishments

[Dec. 2004]Lingjun Li receives an NSF CAREER Award (2005-2010).

[Dec. 2004] First year graduate student Mingming Ma joins the group.

[Dec. 2004] Qiang Fu wins a Villas Travel Fellowship.

[Oct. 2004] Kimberly Kutz and Joshua Schmidt’s paper on “In situ tissue analysis of neuropeptides by MALDI FTMS in-cell accumulation” was published in Analytical Chemistry.

[May 2004] Lingjun Li receives the 2004 American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Research Award at the 52 nd ASMS annual meeting.

[April 2004] Joshua Schmidt was awarded an American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) Fellowship.

[Mar 2004] Qiang Fu, Kimberly Kutz, and Joshua Schmidt presented research talks at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Allied Spectroscopy.

[Dec. 2003] Postdoc Yun Wang joins the group.

[Dec. 2003] Kimberly Kutz wins a Chemistry Department Teaching Assistant Excellence Award.

[Nov. 2003] First year graduate students Heidi Behrens, Kankai Chen, Stephanie DeKeyser, and James Dowell join the group.

[Aug. 2003] Kimberly Kutz was awarded a 3-year NIH sponsored Chemistry-Biology Interface (CBI) training grant.

[June 2003] NSF REU student Adonis Ducre from the Grambling State University spent 9 weeks in the Li Lab working on a summer research project.

[Jan. 2003] First year Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate student Joshua Schmidt began research rotation in the lab, and decided to join the team.

[Dec. 2002] First year Chemistry graduate students Qiang Fu and Kimberly Kutz became the first graduate students in the Li Research Group.
