Request Course RecordingBefore the beginning of each semester, an IIT Staff member will contact course coordinators for SoP timetable courses held in "capture-ready" classrooms to determine whether they want their class to be recorded.
If you did not originally request that your course be recorded but would like to begin recording at anytime during the term, please contact Mike Pitterle or Lauren Shawl.
To request recording of a single lecture or other event, please visit the Special Event Recording page.
For courses that are recorded, the course coordinator is responsible for informing all instructors and guest speakers that course lectures are captured and archived.
In the event that a particular lecture should not be recorded, the course coordinator must inform IIT staff of this need in advance of the lecture.
Rooms in Rennebohm Hall that currently support lecture capture are: 1116, 2002, and 2006. Many classrooms in the HSLC are also "capture-ready."
See information on Standard Video Capabilities to learn about the format, access, and permanence of recorded lectures.
If you would like to discuss the implications that Lecture Capture would have on teaching and learning in your course, please contact Mike Pitterle or Lauren Shawl.
