Syncing PowerPoint Slides with Audio

Audio tracks can be synced with PowerPoint slides. The resulting presentation can be streamed over the internet. Users can easily navigate between parts of the presentation by clicking on the title of the slide they want to view.

IIT staff use use either Articulate or eTeach software to produce this type of project. The production time for an Articulate or eTeach project is more intense than for standard audio or video recording. The presenter must also follow certain guidelines when preparing the slides and audio if this is the desired end product.

Requesters of Articulate projects should expect a 1-3 week production period after the audio and slides are received before the final product will be available.*

This format is commonly used to distribute a lecture in a distance format -- i.e. when the instructor is not available to give a lecture in person.
