Distance
Education Course Registration
Spring
2005
DATE: October 6, 2004
READ CAREFULLY: This message contains important information about preregistration and registration for distance education courses. At the end of this message, you will find the Web links to the distance education course descriptions and the distance education course preference request form.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If student demand for a specific course is insufficient to justify teaching the course, the course will be cancelled and students will be asked to enroll in an alternate course with sufficient enrollment. As you may recall, required courses (CORE PHARMACOTHERAPY MODULES) will be offered on an alternating year basis. Please see the NTPD course grid for course sequencing. This may influence your course selection decisions.
Spring 2005 course request
deadline: November 12, 2004
If you do not want to enroll in any course(s) for Spring 2005 , it is important for you to indicate this by checking the box at the beginning of the course preference form.
1. PREREGISTRATION
INFORMATION
Below,
you will find a list of Spring 2005 nontraditional Pharm.D.
offerings for distance education courses, and course descriptions for ALL (NTPD)
courses. Some courses
will not be offered in Spring 2005.
Some courses have enrollment limits. Students cannot be guaranteed enrollment in enrollment-limited courses. If demand for a course exceeds its enrollment limit, a random selection process will determine which interested students will be able to enroll in the course. This random selection process is designed to ensure equitable consideration of all interested students for enrollment in enrollment limited courses.
Priority order for Spring 2004 preregistration:
1. Students who currently are enrolled in the NTPD program.
2. Students who are taking courses for professional development with a University Special Student classification
Assignments to Spring 2005 distance education courses will be made in November and will be based on course requests that were submitted by November 12, 2004. In December, we will send you (via e-mail) a list of the distance education course(s) to which you have been assigned.
Please complete the electronic Spring 2005 distance education course preference forms that are included in this message. We ask you to submit your first choices ("preferred courses," ranked in order of preference) and some acceptable substitutes, in case we are not able to assign you to any preferred course(s). You must submit your responses electronically by the due date to maintain your priority status for preregistration. If your distance education course preferences are received electronically after the due date, you will be placed in a lower priority status for preregistration.
If you would like to investigate the possibility of enrolling in Spring 2004 professional elective courses offered in the traditional classroom style on the UW-Madison campus, please contact Lynn Maki as soon as possible.
