Overview

Classrooms, labs, lecture halls, conference rooms, and audiovisual (AV) equipment are available for use by School of Pharmacy faculty, staff and students. Reservations can be made via WiscCal via the Oracle Desktop Client or WiscCal (Oracle) Web Client. For best availability, we recommend making reservations as far in advance as possible. Please do not schedule classrooms past the current semester.

Prior to reserving equipment and/or rooms, please review our policies:

A/V Equipment Reservation Policy

By following these procedures, we hope to ensure that the equipment is available and functioning properly for the people who need to use them. Please share this information with your graduate students and post-doctoral students. We appreciate your cooperation.

  1. Please reserve equipment at least two weeks in advance.

  2. If you do not know how to set-up the equipment or room, you can request training here. Please request training at least a week in advance of when you plan to use the equipment or room.

  3. Please pick up the equipment on time in room 2321 or 2327 Rennebohm Hall. Equipment must be picked up between 8 AM and 4 PM on business days and should be returned promptly unless prior arrangements have been made. If for some reason both rooms are locked, place the equipment in a faculty office, and let one of the IIT team members know via email or phone where the equipment is located. Note: In special circumstances when the equipment is used in the late afternoon or evening, please lock it in a faculty office over night and arrange a suitable next day delivery time.
  4. Please attempt to reserve your division's equipment before reserving IIT equipment.

    • Pharmaceutical Sciences: Reserve Digital Projector 3, laser pointers.
    • Pharmacy Practice: Reserve Digital Projector 4.
    • Social and Administrative Sciences in Pharmacy: Reserve laptop computers, laser pointers.
  5. Check with your division's administrative staff for more information or to pick up this equipment. Equipment that is reserved for teaching purposes or by faculty receive first priority. For presentation practice, there is a 2 hour maximum check-out.

  6. Graduate students can reserve equipment. We ask that a faculty member name be included in the Oracle reservation. Please bring your student ID card with you when you pick up equipment.

  7. Before reserving equipment for use outside of Rennebohm Hall, please check to see if equipment from the facility is available.

  8. A laser pointer is available through IIT for guest lecturers only. For other purposes, please check out a laser pointer through your division or inquire in the stock room about purchasing one.

  9. A slide advancer is available for guest lecturers only. We recommend that individuals who would like regular access to a slide advancer purchase one, and we would be happy to assist with purchasing.

Policy for Reserving Rooms in Rennebohm Hall

All School of Pharmacy faculty, staff, and graduate students can reserve rooms in their department using WiscCal or the Oracle Desktop Client for WiscCal. Certain rooms, such as 2002 and 2006 (large lecture halls) and the Board of Visitors room (1128), must be reserved through the Dean's Office or Division support personnel.

Due to the classroom needs for timetable courses, certain scheduling restrictions apply:
  • Classroom reservations for the spring and summer semesters (January 15 to August 20) may be placed no earlier than November 15 of the previous semester.
  • Classroom reservations for the fall semester (August 21 to January 14) may be placed no earlier than April 15 of the previous semester.
After using a room, please ensure that all chairs and desks are returned to their original configuration and that all trash is picked up. If you have reserved the Commons area, it is essential that students be notified of its use during daytime, evening and weekend hours.

Commons Meeting Room Policy

To use any of the meeting rooms located in the School of Pharmacy Commons, you must have a reservation.

    1. Reservations are limited to 4 hours total per person per room per week for School of Pharmacy faculty, staff and students. If a group wants the same room longer than that, another individual from that group must make a reservation.

    2. A group that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits the reservation.

    3. Students should not reserve a meeting room for individual study.

    4. The School of Pharmacy reserves the right to cancel a reservation if an event of higher priority (e.g., make-up exam) should arise.

    5. Although the meeting room is a private space, sound can leak through the walls. Please keep the noise down so as not to disturb others.

    6. Please do not move arm chairs or couches into the rooms.

    7. Please clean up the room before you leave so that it is ready for the next group.
