- Open your desktop version of Oracle Calendar.
- Right-click on the date you wish to reserve a classroom / AV equipment, and select "New meeting." (See figure below.)

- A pop-up window entitled "New Meeting" will appear. Click on the Advanced Search icon (magnifying glass).

- The Directory Search window will appear. On the "Resources" tab, click on the "Search by Resource" radio button. Type "sop" into the Resource name field, and then click the "Search" button at the lower right.

- All available classrooms and AV equipment will appear in the box at the lower left. Select an item you wish to reserve from this window and click the "Add" button. The item name will appear in the box at the lower right. You can add more items by highlighting them (one at a time) and clicking the "Add" button. When you are finished, click the "OK" button.

- Some rooms, such as 2002 and 2006, are not available for reservation or are restricted to certain individuals. If this is the case, you will see a warning message on the right side of the screen.

(Note: If you wish to reserve a resource with restricted access, you can find out specifically whom to contact to reserve that resource by repeating step 4. When the list of resources appears in the box at the lower left, highlight the name of the resource and then click the "Information" button (see figure below). Resource contact information will appear in a pop-up window.)

- Use the "Check conflicts" button to ensure that the equipment/room you are reserving is available when you need it.

- If you want the reservation to be a repeating one, click on the "Repeating" button and enter details as needed.

- Give your event a name in the "Title" field, enter the location, and adjust the start and end dates and times as needed. Click OK to finalize your reservation.

- You can make changes to your reservation by double-clicking on the calendar entry and revisiting steps 3-9 in this guide.

- To delete a reservation altogether, right-click on it and select "Delete" from the drop-down menu.
