The mission of the Wisconsin Center for Natural Products Research (WISC-NPR) is to promote interdisciplinary natural product-based translational research, the basis for which derives from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy's unique history and current strengths in natural products drug discovery and development. WISC-NPR is focused upon enhancing core competencies and developing new technologies for natural product discovery, diversification and engineering to ultimately provide bioactive natural product-derived small molecule chemical libraries. These technologies and new chemical entities subsequently serve as a cornerstone for interdisciplinary translational research programs.
